Notice Concerning Firearms, Dangerous Weapons and Controlled Substances

Firearms, Dangerous Weapons and Controlled Substances (i.e. marijuana) are PROHIBITED in the Federal Courthouses of the Eastern District of Washington. Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. §930, 21 U.S.C. §844, and 41 C.F.R.§§102-74.400 & 102-74.440, it is ILLEGAL to knowingly possess a firearm, other dangerous weapon, or a controlled substance such as narcotic drugs, hallucinogens, marijuana, barbiturates, or amphetamines in a Federal building. Packages, briefcases, and other containers in the possession of all persons on Federal property are subject to inspection under 41 C.F.R. §102-74.440.
