JOHN T. RODGERS
United States Magistrate Judge

Judge John T. Rodgers was appointed a Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Washington on September 1, 2013. Judge Rodgers has served as a trial lawyer within the Eastern District for thirty-five years, and most recently served as the Director of the Spokane County Public Defender’s Office, a post he held since 2003. Judge Rodgers is a past recipient of the following awards/distinctions: Smithmore Meyers “Professionalism Award” presented by the Spokane County Bar Association, “President’s Award” presented by the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and a two time recipient of the “Super Lawyer” distinction as presented by Washington Law and Politics. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and Gonzaga University School of Law. Judge Rodgers maintains chambers in Spokane.
