Electronic Evidence Display in the Courtrooms
The Eastern District of Washington has electronic evidence display systems in all courtrooms in Spokane, Yakima, and Richland. While the functions of the equipment are the same, some of the equipment may differ between the courtrooms. This is an overview of what is available.
We highly recommend you familiarize yourself with the equipment before you use it. This is especially true if you want to connect your laptop computer.
For hands-on training in a courtroom, call the Clerk's Office:
Spokane: 509-458-3400
Yakima: 509-573-6600
Richland: 509-943-8170
The attorney podiums have a touch screen monitor, connections for a laptop computer, and an object/document camera. | The witness can "mark" on documents and objects displayed on the touch screen monitor. |
The jury boxes have monitors permitting jurors to view the evidence being presented. |
The attorney tables have monitors permitting attorneys to view the evidence being presented. Most attorney tables also have laptop computer connections to allow presentation of evidence from the table instead of the podium. |
