Upload Status & Confirmation¶
After successfully uploading your document, you will receive confirmation both on-screen and via email.
On-Screen Confirmation¶
Success Message¶
After upload completes, you'll see:
✓ Document Successfully Uploaded
Your sealed document has been encrypted and transmitted to the Court's secure system.
Upload Details¶
The confirmation screen displays:
- Case Number: The case this document is filed under
- Judge: Assigned judge for the case
- File Name: Original name of your uploaded PDF
- File Size: Size of the document
- Upload Reference ID: Unique identifier for tracking
- Timestamp: Date and time of upload
- Status: "Successfully Transmitted"
Email Confirmation¶
You will receive an automated email confirmation within 1-2 minutes of successful upload.

Reference ID Tracking¶
What is the Reference ID?¶
The Upload Reference ID is a unique identifier assigned to your upload. This ID:
- Is generated automatically by the system
- Uniquely identifies your specific upload transaction
- Can be used when contacting the Clerk's Office for support
- Appears in your email confirmation and on-screen
Example Reference ID: upload-2025-11-30-a1b2c3d4e5f6
When to Use Your Reference ID¶
Provide your Reference ID when:
- Contacting the Clerk's Office about your upload
- Following up on upload status
- Reporting technical issues with your upload
- Verifying receipt of your document
Processing Timeline¶
What Happens Next?¶
After successful upload:
- Immediate (0-2 minutes):
- Document encrypted with AES-256-CBC
- Stored in secure holding area
- Confirmation email sent to you

Audit log entry created

Within 1 Business Day:
- Clerk's Office staff review document
- Document processed for filing
- Virus scanning performed

Document moved to court systems

1-2 Business Days:
- Separate filing confirmation from CM/ECF system
- Case docket updated
- Filing receipt issued (if accepted)
Note: This upload confirmation is NOT the same as a CM/ECF filing receipt. The Clerk's Office will send a separate notification regarding filing status.
What If I Don't Receive Confirmation?¶
Check Your Email¶
- Wait 5 minutes - Emails may be delayed
- Check spam/junk folder - System emails may be filtered
- Verify email address - Must be your CM/ECF registered email
Session Timeout Issues¶
If your session timed out during upload:
- The upload may still have completed successfully
- Check your email for confirmation within 5 minutes
- If no confirmation received, upload again
Technical Errors¶
If you received an error message instead of confirmation:
- Note the error message details
- Review Upload Errors troubleshooting
- Contact the Clerk's Office if error persists
Save Your Confirmation¶

Important: This upload receipt is not a substitute for the official CM/ECF filing receipt. Wait for the Clerk's Office filing confirmation before considering the document officially filed.
Multiple Document Uploads¶
Uploading Additional Documents¶
To upload another document:
- Click "Upload Another Document" on the confirmation screen
- Or return to the main upload page
- The upload form will be reset and ready for a new document
Each document receives its own unique Reference ID.
Same Case, Multiple Documents¶
When uploading multiple documents for the same case:
- Enter the case number for each upload
- Each document is processed independently
- You'll receive separate confirmations for each upload
- Keep all Reference IDs for your records
Troubleshooting Confirmation Issues¶
Common Issues¶
