On Friday, November 4, 2022, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington hosted the 18th Annual Tri-Cities Youth and Justice Forum.  During this full-day event, middle and high school students met with local leaders in the justice system to learn about higher education and career opportunities in those fields.

Students from six middle schools and eight high schools from across the Tri-Cities area met with judges, lawyers, law enforcement officers, probation officers, and other professionals to learn more about the justice system and their rights and responsibilities as members of the community, as well as potential career opportunities. The principal goal of the Youth and Justice Forum is to create opportunities for racial and ethnic diversity in the justice system.
