Recalled Service – Magistrate Judge Hutton

Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(h), and the Ninth Circuit Judicial Council’s Order of Recall signed and entered on December 29, 2021, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington announces the recalled service of retired Magistrate Judge James P. Hutton for a term of six months commencing January 3, 2022.  Magistrate Judge Hutton will assist the Eastern District of Washington by performing all powers and duties of the office of magistrate judge until such time as the new Yakima-based magistrate judge has been appointed by the Court.  Chief Judge Stanley A. Bastian administered the Oath of Office to Judge Hutton this afternoon.
 
Magistrate Judge Hutton’s official duty station will be in Yakima, Washington
